Margaret works with regional communities to help reach their full potential through utilising her leadership, knowledge and experience to assist and drive for better outcomes.

  • Economic Development and change management projects which she has directly influenced outcomes of significant investment for various projects and secured more than $50M for regional Australia through Government and private philanthropic investment.
  • 14 years of Company Director experience in industries including TAFE Sector Victoria and Tasmania, Port/Infrastructure – Tasmania. Health Sector in Victoria. Water Sector – Victoria.
  • Involvement in Chamber of Commerce/Bendigo Business Council from 2007-2013. Appointed as the first female Chair to Bendigo Business Council (2010-2013). As Chair, led realignment of Bendigo Business Council into a more member focussed organisation and advocacy group for business.
  • Chair of Bendigo TAFE (4 yrs) and lead the substantial changes in the sector under the Victorian TAFE Reform process for Bendigo TAFE.-Bendigo Kangan Institute
  • Co-architect and business driver of a successful IPTv business launched in 2009 and ongoing (Bendigo IPTv).
  • Appointed to Tasmania Ports Corporation Board in 2006 – 2012. Focussed to amalgamate 4 independent Port Authorities to one Port Operation in Tasmania. (previous Director of Devonport Port Authority) 2003 – 2006. Chair – HR/Remuneration Committee.
  • Accomplished Public Speaker, giving Key Note Addresses to audience sizes in excess of 500 people.
  • Appointed a judge by Minister of Education Tasmania to judge the inaugural Tasmanian Honour Roll for Women
  • Selection panel  for many Senior Department roles such as Secretary, Deputy Commissioner and senior beaurecrat roles in Government throughout Australia
  • Selected to represent Telstra Internationally to visit other Telecommunications Companies in UK, USA & South Africa to research new models of operation.
