This project involved coordinating key stakeholders from Regional Development Australia and Regional Development Victoria, eight local government areas, education, health and business groups.
Members formed a working group and campaigned over several years highlighting the importance of the National Broadband Network for the Loddon Mallee region and the need to be included on the NBN Co. early rollout list.
MO’R Consulting liaised directly with NBN Co. for demonstration truck visits throughout the Loddon Mallee region and global telecommunications expert Paul Budde’s tour of the region.
MO’R also coordinated projects focussed on fixing mobile blackspots across the region and improving access to high speed broadband.
Marg has personally presented the benefits of an NBN enabled community to over 25 service clubs and schools, and continues to speak with community groups on this topic.
MO’R Consulting led the rejuvenation of the Central Goldfields Business Group, including the relaunch of the Group, formerly known as GoldBiz.
A website, e-newsletters, networking events and new business opportunities within the Shire are all ongoing.
MO’R Consulting has worked with Local Government and Victorian State Government Departments throughout the Loddon Mallee region on bushfire preparedness and evaluation, flood recovery, evaluation and communication models and community engagement models for government and private business clients.
